Kirkpatrick Tells How to Help Fire Victims
Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick offered advice on how to help victims of the Slide Fire which has burned more than 13,000 acres and has displaced homeowners in areas between Sedona and Flagstaff.

While many of us were preparing for this holiday weekend, firefighters have been working around the clock to ensure the safety of area neighborhoods and businesses. The area in the fire’s path is not only home to many in AZ01, but one of the most scenic areas in the entire nation.

Please join me in keeping first responders and residents in your thoughts and prayers.

If you would like to help with the Slide Fire response, the Flagstaff Police Department has recommended donations be directed to three organizations: the Red Cross, the Salvation Army and the United Way of Northern Arizona.

There are two ways people can help through United Way of Northern Arizona. You can make a monetary contribution, or register as a volunteer by visiting www.nazunitedway.org.

Please look for the “How You Can Help” section on the homepage. All monetary donations can be made by check, cash or credit card and will be used 100% towards supporting disaster relief efforts in Northern Arizona.

Additionally, you can text UWNA to 95577 to opt in for immediate notification of assistance as they arise.
