It is Time for a Change
March has come in like a lion that has torn into funding for education, essential services, our parks, and, maybe more importantly, health care and jobs.
The recently passed budget will cut KidsCare for Arizona's most vulnerable children and reduce ACCCHS eligibility among needy Arizonans.
Because of these cuts Arizona will lose 19,600 jobs in health care and an additional 22,400 jobs from industries that rely on health-care spending.
According to The Arizona Republic, the Republican led plan to save $765 million will keep Arizona from getting $1.5 billion in federal matching funds.
It is time to change the legislature, which has been lead in the wrong direction by the Republicans for over 40 years. Republicans seem to think that giving tax cuts to the rich and corporations is the way to solve a financial crisis. It is time to elect Democrats who will solve these problems responsibly and help Arizona prosper.
