Dems Have A Full Slate for Legislative District 5
The Democratic party now has a full slate of candidates for Legislative District 5, with the addition of Prescott Winslow in the House Race. He joins Bill Shumway, also running for the House. They are competing for two open seats. Jack Brown, a Democrat, is retiring and Bill Kopenicki, a Republican, is running for the state Senate.
Elaine Bohlmeyer, a Democrat from Payson, is running for the state Senate in Legislative District 5, which includes Navajo and Apache counties south of the Navajo Reservation, along with Gila, Graham and Greenlee counties. She will face the winner of a Republican primary between Kopenicki and nuttier-than-thou Sylvia Allen.
