White Mountain Apaches Pick Education As Top Issue
Education is the top issue for White Mountain Apache voters, according to a poll taken at the recent Housing Fair in Whiteriver. Of the respondents, 97 listed education as the most important concern. Closely following were water rights and employment, tied at 87 votes each.

Navajo County Democrats have two offices
Navajo County Democrats have two offices this election season. One in Winslow operated by the Little Colorado River Democrats and one in Lakeside operated by the White Mountain Democrats.

Navajo County Voter Registration Outreach Program
Each month, Doris Clark , from the County Recorder’s Office, has office hours in Pinon, Whiteriver, and Kayenta to register voters and answer questions. The following is her schedule:
First Wednesday in Kayenta at the Kayenta Justice Court, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
First Thursday in Pinon at the Pinon Chapter House, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Second Monday in Whiteriver at the Social Services Building, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
