THE CHALLENGES
The global coronavirus pandemic is greatly restricting movements and in-person contacts, but the need to defeat Donald Trump and also to elect Democrats down ticket is more urgent than ever.
With social distancing in place, we are unable to engage in door-to-door neighborhood canvassing. Therefore, it is all the more imperative that we maximize use of the tools we do have to work with. We can use texts, phone banking, email, snail mail, and social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) while staying safe by following social distancing recommendations.
2020 FALL CAMPAIGN: PHASE ONE
The goal of Phase One is to fill all 450 Democratic County Committee positions in Northeast Arizona. These positions are referred to as Precinct Committeepersons or PCs. "Election" to a PC position requires completing the STATE OF ARIZONA WRITE-IN CANDIDATE NOMINATION PAPER and submitting it to your County Recorder. You can access this document and other detailed information and instructions on becoming a PC in the next section. There are also several useful articles about PCs on the NEWS page of this website.
We want to be sure as many Arizonans as possible make use of mail-in ballots. Because personal contact is limited at this time, we are asking PCs to contact friends and family members via phone, text, or email and make sure they know how to obtain and use mail-in ballots.
More detailed information on Phase One of the campaign is in the CAMPAIGN PLAN document in following section. This document will be updated as we move through the various phases of the campaign.
